Mrs Jill Howson

Teaching Assistant

I have been involved with Estcots ever since my son started in Reception 25 years ago! I joined the staff as a Teaching Assistant (and later as HLTA) in 1996 and have worked with all year groups although spent most of my time in KS2.

I enjoy seeing the older children grow and develop into the young people that leave us to go on to new pastures at secondary school.

Part of this process is the residential trip to the Isle of Wight which is marvellous at building children’s confidence, resilience and team-spirit combined with a great deal of fun!

A Few Things About Me

I consider myself to be a fairly active person, regularly playing badminton, swimming and walking, and my birthday presents often include some more extreme activities such as sky-diving, gliding, paragliding, ballooning and zip-wiring.

I love to travel to new destinations and am lucky to have visited many places in the world but there are so many more still on the list!
