We organise a variety social and fund raising events for the children, their parents, carers and friends of the school. We try to provide a range of activities – whole family events, children’s events and some just for the grown ups, all with the aim of raising money for the school.
Events over the past three years include: Christmas and Summer Fairs, Adult Quiz Nights, a Ladies Pamper Evening, Discos for Children, Cake Sales, and Adult Bingo Night, Car Boot & Table Top Sales and a Family Barn Dance.

Our primary aim is to help raise funds for our children’s school.
The money that we provide supplements the school budget and enables the school to both update and purchase new equipment. Additionally, we like to think that we are able to provide those little “extras” for the children in school. For example, this may include paying for theatre companies to visit school to provide entertainment or help fund day trips for all years.
In recent years we have raised money to purchase lots of books, hooded sweatshirts for the Year 6 leavers, tags for school bags for all children, netball shirts, an outdoor classroom for the small playground and the ‘Trim Trail’ on the KS1 playground. We have also paid for a circus day, a pantomime and a theatre trip for all children and contributed towards school trips for all children. We are currently aiming high with a goal of raising enough money to provide an adventure playground for the field.
We hope that as well as being a fundraising organisation and registered charity, through the events that we organise we can also help to bring people together, meet and make new friends, and therefore help to build a strong school community!
We warmly welcome more volunteers to help, as most events can’t go ahead without parents/volunteers to help to run them. You don’t have to be a full committee member and come to all the meetings; instead you can be a ‘friend’ of the committee and just be called on for a particular event. We understand time is precious to all of us and you can give whatever suits you. All help is greatly appreciated! We hold meetings once a month and normally in the evenings at school.
